Pop-Up Event Report: Natsu Matsuri 2024

The first time of attending to Natsu Matsuri, 2024 as a vendor. It was really hot and strong windy day but it was fun!

  • The Event Name: Natsu Matsuri 2024
  • Date: August 10 (Sat), 2024
  • Time: 12 PM – 5 PM (Opening Ceremony will start at 11am)
  • Weather: Sunny and Windy
  • Location: Hamilton Canadian Japanese Cultural Centre

What a great day! I enjoyed driving to Hamilton even it was a nice traffic jam πŸ˜„.

It is hot day as well so I brought a big bottle of green tea🍡!

My booth is ready! It’s a bit windy, so I need to make sure all items are protected from being blown away.

Suikawari is highlighted in the event!

What is Suikawari (γ‚Ήγ‚€γ‚«ε‰²γ‚Š)?

Suikawari is a fun Japanese summer tradition where people take turns trying to smash a watermelon while blindfolded! It’s often played at beaches, parks, or summer festivals, making it a beloved seasonal activity for families and friends.

After smashing watermellon, they shared some with us. It was so tasty!

Thank you for having us and see you next time!
