- The Event Name: Nihoncha Matsuri – Japanese Tea Festival –
- Date: November 2nd, 2025
- Time: 10am-6:30pm
- Weather: Sunny and Windy
- Location: Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre
For Tokita Kobo, this festival is always special. It brings together tea lovers, families, cultural enthusiasts, and those who simply enjoy the calming ritual of Japanese tea. And every year, we leave feeling inspired by the conversations we share.
Thank you for stopping by my booth, we are so glad to talk to you about Japanese culture and your own Japan travel memories.

Also, we Introduced the Kimono-Inspired Vase Cover Workshop
This year, our Kimono-Inspired Vase Cover Workshop was one of the highlights.
Participants of all ages created beautiful vase covers using upcycled kimono fabric — no sewing required. Even children enjoyed choosing their favourite patterns and transforming everyday jars into elegant pieces of Japanese-inspired décor.

Workshops like this embody the spirit of mottainai, the Japanese belief in not wasting what can be reused and cherished. By giving kimono fabric new life, we share not only beauty but also a deeper cultural value.
