The Significance of Cherry Blossoms
In Japan, sakura holds a profound cultural and spiritual meaning. The short-lived bloom is a reminder of the impermanence of life, encouraging people to appreciate beauty in the present moment. This tradition has been embraced in Toronto, where the arrival of cherry blossoms marks the much-anticipated beginning of spring.
Not too long ago, we had a cherry blossom party under the cherry trees. Some companies held events, and there was even a role for securing a good spot and staying there until others arrived.
